I was introduced to northern Wisconsin when I was very young while visiting relatives in a town called Mercer in 1962. From the first time I walked out onto that dock overlooking Mercer Lake surrounded by tall pines, I was in awe of its natural beauty and tranquility and still am to this day.
As the years passed, our family vacations to Mercer ended, but I loved the area so much that I kept coming up to the Northwoods to visit friends that I had made and to fish. As I still loved Mercer, I started to venture out to see what other towns had to offer and to fish new lakes. Then met my wife Monica and was very fortunate that after a few trips up north, she shared the same love of the Northwoods and fishing as I do.
After vacationing mostly in Land O Lakes for over 25 years, we have met many new friends that we now consider family and because of the relaxing pace of a small-town daily life, the sure beauty and those great friends, the Northwoods is not just a vacation paradise, but home.
